KELVIN L. BROWN, M.D., M.P.H., FACS BIO


Dr. Kelvin L. Brown is a board certified surgeon and public health expert poised to take healthcare to a new level of functionality in the United States. Dr. Brown is the owner of Precision Surgery in the metropolitan Atlanta area and is also the founder of The Vital Health Care Group, a company designed to meet the growing healthcare needs of America’s individual and corporate populations. 


Certified by the American Board of Surgery, Kelvin Brown holds a Masters of Public Health Degree in Epidemiology from Emory University’s School of Public Health as well as a Medical Degree from the prestigious University of Alabama School of Medicine.  At UAB, Dr. Brown distinguished himself as the second African American in the history of the school to graduate in the top ten percent of his class. After such an accomplishment, Dr. Brown went on to complete his General Surgery training at Emory University School of Medicine.  


Kelvin Brown first became passionate about health and the medical profession as a child while looking through the science books of his mother, who at the time was studying Nursing. Today, his vast professional experiences have deepened his desires to help others and to help improve the delivery and accessibility of healthcare. Through the inception of The Vital Health Care Group, Dr. Brown is on the verge of bringing reformation and transformation to the healthcare industry.  The company, which consists of several smaller entities, aims to make healthcare more accessible and affordable to individuals and businesses by offering convenient on-site healthcare services and data management opportunities.  The innovative approach is a first of its kind and promises a high yield of return for communities across the country.


An American College of Surgeons Fellow, Dr. Kelvin Brown is currently a member of the American College of Surgeons, the Society of American Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons, The National Medical Association, the Georgia State Medical Association, the Southeastern Surgical Congress, the Medical Association of Georgia, the Infection Control Committee, the Surgical Services Committee, and the Colon Cancer Committee.


As a healthcare professional, Dr. Kelvin Brown says his goal is to serve God by improving the overall health of communities by helping individuals improve their health. His motto for life is: Live, Give, Glorify.  Dr. Brown is a dynamic and experienced speaker on the topics of public health, general health and wellness, and healthcare reform and management. He welcomes the opportunity to address organizational audiences of all sizes and demographical profiles. 


Dr. Kelvin Brown lives in the metropolitan Atlanta area and is an active father of three children.  He is a dedicated member of Word of Faith Family Cathedral in Austell, Georgia.
